Bone Grafting for Prosthetically-Driven Implant Placement
Dental implants have the potential to rehabilitate the dentition of our patients and provide excellent service for a life-time. It is important to recognize that while implants have had a revolutionary effect on modern dentistry, they do pose a challenge when it comes to long-term care and management.
With the growth in the number of dental implants placed annually, by greater numbers of practitioners of varying experience, using more types of implant systems, and ever-increasing pressure to reduce costs, it is our responsibility to prepare ourselves for the tsunami of aging implants and the difficulties we will face managing them.
